Collaborative Efforts at Future Site of Maskwa Medical Center Pave the Way for Improved Patient Care and Training

A big THANK YOU to representatives from the Maskwa Medical Center, the University of Alberta, Northwestern Polytechnic, AHS, local physicians and municipal stakeholders including the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie No. 1, MD of Greenview, Saddle Hills County and Clear Hills County who gathered at the future site of the Maskwa Medical Center on October 24th to memorialize a pivotal partnership dedicated to improving healthcare access in Northwestern Alberta.

Northern Alberta is continuing to be transformed through innovative partnerships and collaborative efforts and this collaboration aims to not only enhance patient care but also support the training and development of future healthcare professionals in the region.  The impact of the academic training clinic on the first floor of the facility is anticipated to extend beyond education and will help to reduce Hospital and Emergency Room visits.

“These partnerships mark a significant step forward in our commitment to improving healthcare access for the residents of Northwestern Alberta,” said Ken Drysdale, Chairman of the Maskwa Board. “By combining our strengths, we are ensuring that quality healthcare services are available close to home.”

We invite the community to stay tuned to www.maskwamedical.ca for further updates on the development of the Maskwa Medical Center and the positive impact these partnerships will have on healthcare in Northwestern Alberta.
