Being born and raised on a farm in the Clairmont area has brought about a deep caring and commitment to the betterment of our community and its next generation. As a young man wanting to continue a family tradition in agriculture Ken was forced to work off the farm for additional income and while doing that was provided the opportunity to build a couple of pipeline construction companies locally and in Edmonton that grew to be recognized as best in class in the Alberta Oil and Gas sector. Currently, he farms 4500 acres in the Clairmont area and sits as Chair of the Maskwa Medical Center board of directors. In 2017 due to family health issues since 2002, Sherry and Ken set off to try and change how timelines in healthcare diagnosis and treatment plans are delivered to NW Alberta residents. Recognizing the need, they have over the past 5 years, along with a great board of invested community members and community leaders have reached what they consider to be the construction phase of a medical clinic concept that will improve the lives of many citizens with difficult-to-diagnose health issues.
Maskwa Medical Center is proud to operate on Treaty 8 Territory, Traditional Lands of First Nations and Métis people.
