Mark was born and raised in Grande Prairie. After winning the AJHL championship with the Grande Prairie Storm in 2004, Mark played hockey at Michigan Technological University while obtaining a degree in Finance. After graduating he completed his CMA designation. He has been a business owner since 2013 and enjoys building teams of outstanding people to provide innovative solutions to industry problems.
Mark enjoys giving back to the community, including volunteering on several boards and recently joined the Maskwa Board of Directors in June 2023.
In 2017, Mark survived a cardiac arrest after playing a rec hockey game in which CPR and an AED was used to save his life, which developed a strong passion for health care. He feels very grateful to be able to contribute to Makswa’s goal of improving health care outcomes in the Peace Region.
